On Thursday, Robert Blake passed away in Los Angeles at the age of 89. According to a statement made public by his niece, Noreen Austin, the Little Rascals star passed away from a heart illness at home.

However, in 2001, Blake was found not guilty of killing her. The charge that he attempted to pay someone to kill her was also dropped. The jury, however, could not agree on a second solicitation charge. The court dropped the count after the jury returned an 11-1 verdict in favor of acquittal.

Bonny Lee Bakley was an American actor and singer. She has been in the news because one of her husbands, Robert Blake, passed away recently.

She was born on June 7, 1956, in Morristown, New Jersey, U.S. Her father’s name was arborist Edward J. Bakley, and her wife’s name was Marjorie Lois Bakley. She also had two siblings named Margaret Lisa Bakley and Joe Bakley, and one half-brother named Peter Carlyon.

At 16, she chose to leave high school and attend the Barbizon School of Modeling in New York City to pursue a profession in acting and modeling.

Bonny Lee Bakley married 11 times. Over the years, she married Evangelos Paulakis (from 1971 to 1971), Paul Gawron (from 1977 to 1982), Robert Moon (from 1984 to 1987), DeMart C. Besly (from 1988 to 1988), Joseph Brooksher (from 1992 to 1992), William Webber (from 1993 to 1993), E. Robert Telufson (from 1994 to 1994), Glynn H. Wolfe (from 1995 to 1995), and John Ray (from 1996 to 1998). At last, she married Robert Blake in 2000.

She also becomes the mother of four children over the years. With her second husband, Paul Gawron, she gave birth to a son named Glenn and a daughter named Holly. Later, she gave birth to a daughter, Jeri Lee Lewis, with an unknown man. While married to Robert Blake, she gave birth to a daughter named Rose Lenore Sophia Blake.

She died on May 4, 2001, in Los Angeles, California, U.S. At the time of her death, she was 44 years old.

Her career

Bonny Lee Bakley started a mail-order company where she sold nude photos of women, including herself, to support herself. Furthermore, she published “lonely hearts” ads in periodicals looking for a “male companion”.

She soon acquired enough cash from her business dealings and con games to purchase multiple homes in Memphis, Tennessee, as well as one mansion outside of Los Angeles. Using the stage name Lee Bonney, she attempted to make it big in Hollywood as a singer and actor, but she was not successful.

Cause of death of Bonny Lee Bakley

Bonny Lee Bakley was shot and killed in May 2001 while seated in Robert Blake’s parked automobile outside a restaurant in the Los Angeles region. Blake was accused of murdering Bakley, encouraging murder, conspiring, and engaging in unusual circumstances like lying in wait in 2002.

However, Blake was declared not guilty of the offenses by a jury in March 2005. Seven months later, in a wrongful death case filed by Bakley’s children against Blake, he was determined to be at fault. Bakley’s murder has not been officially solved.
