Police have arrested the prime suspect in connection with a viral video showing two young girls beating up another girl for allegedly getting involved with the same man. The incident happened in the city of South Bend, Indiana, and the video quickly spread across social media platforms.
The video began with three girls in a car talking, before they start fighting. One of the girls can be seen repeatedly hitting another girl while the other girl screams at them to stop. After the fight ends, the girl who was hit can be heard crying.
The South Bend Police Department has charged the prime suspect, a 15-year-old girl, with criminal confinement, battery, and intimidation. Her name has yet to be released to the public due to her age. The other two girls in the video have not been identified and police are still looking for them.
“We are committed to holding everyone involved responsible and ensuring justice is served,” said South Bend Police Chief Scott Ruszkowski. “We are also committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community.”
