Pamela Anderson defends Tim Allen days after claiming he flashed her on Home Improvement

Pamela Anderson has defended her Home Improvement co-star, Tim Allendespite claiming he flashed her when they starred on the hit sitcom together back in the ’90s.

In a clarification shared with Varietythe actress said she doesn’t think Allen had any “bad intentions” when he allegedly opened up his robe on set to expose himself to her outside her dressing room in 1991.

“Tim is a comedian, it’s his job to cross the line. I’m sure he had no bad intentions,” the actress wrote in a text message to the publication. “Times have changed, though. I doubt anyone would try that post #MeToo. It’s a new world.”

Anderson, now 55, made the allegations in her upcoming memoir Love, Pamelain which she claimed the alleged incident happened on her first day of filming when she was 23 years old.

“On the first day of filming, I walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe. He opened his robe and flashed me quickly – completely naked underneath,” she wrote in an excerpt obtained by Variety.

The comedian, who was 37 at the time, allegedly told Anderson his exposure was “only fair” because he had seen her nude – she had posed for Playboy just before her stint on Home Improvement.

“He said it was only fair because he had seen me naked. Now we’re even. I laughed uncomfortably.”

Allen has since hit back at Anderson’s claims of inappropriate behaviour, telling TMZ: “No, it never happened. I would never do such a thing.”

It appears Anderson was not the only co-star Allen reportedly flashed on the series.

In a resurfaced behind-the-scenes clip from the show, the actor is seen lifting up his kilt to show co-star Patricia Richardson what’s underneath after she quipped: “Hangs long, I just wish it was shorter.”

In a statement shared with TMZ after the footage resurfaced, Richardson said it was all just for laughs and Allen was not naked under the kilt.

“People ask me what was under the kilt when he flashed me, he was well dressed under there, I was just shocked that he lifted the kilt, not by a man in boxer shorts,” she told the outlet.
