Obituary: Mark P. Fogarty

SOUTH PORTLAND – Mark P. Fogarty of South Portland passed absent unexpectedly on Dec. 14, 2022.

He was born on March 25, 1958, in Portland and graduated from Portland Significant Faculty in 1976.

He was employed at B&M Baked Bean Manufacturing unit and General Electric Organization right before pursuing a job in the healthcare area as a counselor. Most not long ago he was employed at Shalom Residence as a Resident Aid Employee for more than 25 many years. His job in health care arrived normally to him as he experienced a compassionate, considerate, and generous nature.

Mark lived his life usually wondering of other people and earning a distinction in the lives of his loved ones and pals. Never without a compliment or type phrase to make your day a minor brighter. His perception of humor, infectious giggle, and potential to notify a great joke put a smile on everyone’s confront.

When his birthday arrived all-around, he would invite these closest to him out to meal. It was typically a barbecue put or Dimillo’s. Under no circumstances letting anyone pay the tab. He would call it the “laugh in feast” which cultivated friendships and connections that carry on to this working day. Mark liked very good songs, specifically the blues. When supplied the option, he wouldn’t wait to suggest an artist or music he relished.

As a lifelong fan of the Baltimore Orioles, he attended online games in Camden Yards as very well as Fenway Park. Mark beloved a road trip, with 200 miles in a day currently being the typical. Great tunes and the open up road fed his soul and introduced him pleasure. He would get his buddy, Jamal, on these road trips to share the journey, sightsee, and find new adventures. Mark loved to cook dinner. He was elevated on his Grandmama Beatrice’s Italian cooking which influenced him to carry on the tradition. His mission was to make the holiday break a lot less stress filled by gifting a food that was ready to consume. Mark experienced a like for the ocean and often invested time at the beach front. He would move the time fishing for striped bass, viewing the waves or swimming for the duration of full moon summer months nights.

Mark was a male of his term with old university values. He wore his coronary heart and soul on his sleeve in a way that no one particular at any time questioned their place in his everyday living. You usually knew how he felt. His loss is a tragedy to all of us, but the adore he gave in this daily life will reside on.

He is survived by his brother, Michael Fogarty and Robert Goan aunt and uncle, Jean and John Goan and a lot of cousins.

A celebration of existence will be planned for Spring 2023.
