BRUNSWICK – David Nelson Widmer, 88, died peacefully in his household on Dec. 7, 2022.

He was born in Lebanon, Ky., on Nov. six, 1934, to Marguerite

Jeanneret and Nelson David Widmer. He graduated from Lebanon Large University, Centre Faculty and The College of Louisville Dental School.

He was proud of serving in the United States Military, to start with as an enlisted man in Kentucky and then as a captain in the Army Dental Corps at Tripler Military Medical center and Schofield Barracks in Hawaii.

Whilst in Hawaii, he satisfied his spouse, Lois, to whom he was married for 57

years. Immediately after leaving the Army in 1966, they moved to Brunswick exactly where he recognized his very own dental exercise and became an energetic member of the community. He was a founding co-president of the Merrymeeting Dental Culture and served phrases as president of both of those the Maine Chapter of the Academy of Normal Dentistry and the New England Dental Modern society. He also served on the board of the Brunswick Place Scholar Assist Fund, and was a member of Brunswick Rotary.

David loved relatives, gardening, songs, oceans, traveling, songbirds, dogs,

sunsets, trains, yodeling, accumulating the family all around a fondue pot, and

homebrewing. He had an in depth information of the human overall body and took an active part in troubleshooting and handling his individual and his family’s wellness.

David was a personal pilot, discovering peace in the open up skies previously mentioned
