LikFlix.com – We are here to give comments on the practices of priority in the holy month of Ramadhan. For those of you who do not know what the most important practices of Ramadhan are, please read the following explanation.

The holy month of Ramadan is one of the most honored months in Islam. That is because in the month of Ramadhan there are many good deeds whose rewards are many and multiplied by Allah SWT.

The holy month of Ramadan has many advantages and privileges, in which God revealed the book of the Qur’an, as a source of guidance for all mankind.

Allah SWT also opens wide the door of maghfiroh or forgiveness and sends down His Mercy to all of us, so it is a great loss when in the occasion of this holy month of Ramadhan.

We cannot use and maximize it to worship and do the practices recommended by Islam in this holy month. Among the practices that are highly recommended in the month of fasting are as follows;

Practices in the Holy Month of Ramadan

To perfect our fasting, we should be competing to establish acts of worship that can increase the reward in this month of Ramadan, now for those of you who are confused about what to do so that the reward will increase, you can see our explanation of the following practices in the holy month of Ramadan. .

First, Tarawih Prayer.

The virtue of the month of Ramadan is the Tarawih Prayer, so Tarawih is a sunnah prayer of 20 rak’ahs which is performed at night, that is after the Isha prayer during the Month of Ramadan. It is called the tarawih prayer because a person will take a short break every time he finishes two greetings or after getting four rak’ahs.

This is mentioned by Al Hafidh Ibnu Hajar AL Asqolaniy in his book Fathul Bari fi Syarahi Shohihil Bukhori vol IV page 250. The reward of Taraweeh Prayer is very extraordinary, it can even make our past sins forgiven. In a Hadith Prophet Muhammad SAW said;

Whoever performs Ramadan prayers out of faith and seeking reward, his past sins will be forgiven (Agreed upon)

It means, “Whoever performs the Tarawih prayer in the month of Ramadan with faith and sincerity (for the sake of Allah Almighty) then he will be forgiven for his past sins.” (Muttafaq ‘Alaih)

As for the method, the Syafi’iyyah Ulama agree that Tarawih prayers must be closed with greetings after receiving two cycles of prayer. And so on up to 10 greetings, bringing the total to 20 cycles.

Second, Charity

Mention the Priority Practices in the Holy Month of Ramadan

Basically, setting aside a portion of our fortune to give alms is highly recommended by Islam at any time. Both in the form of energy, thoughts, and property. However, charity in the holy month of Ramadan has its own special value and the reward will be multiplied. Rasulullah SAW said;

On the authority of Anas, it was said, O Messenger of God, which charity is the best? He said: Charity in Ramadan

Meaning, “From Anas RA, the companion asked, ‘O Messenger of Allah, what is the most important charity?’ The Prophet SAW replied, ‘Alms in the month of Ramadan,’” (HR At-Tirmidhi).

In the book Hasyiyatul Baijuri, Sheikh Ibrahim Al Bajuri also explained about the habit of giving charity to the Prophet SAW in the month of Ramadan;

And his initiative to increase charity because he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was the best in Ramadan, and in general, he increased good deeds during it, because tDuring the holy month of Ramadhan, all sins are forgiven by Allah SWT, and good deeds and perfected more often performed.

Therefore, every bad deed can be forgiven, and the good works will be completed more and given a very great reward during the holy month of Ramadan.
It means, “(People fasting) are encouraged to immediately give more alms because Rasulullah SAW is the most generous person in the month of Ramadan. One can do good in general because the reward for good deeds in any form will be multiplied compared to the rewards for good deeds done outside the month of Ramadan,”

Therefore, it is appropriate for us to imitate Rasulullah SAW, namely to be generous and increase our good deeds in this holy month of Ramadan.

Third, Increase Reading the Qur’an.

Mention the Priority Practices in the Holy Month of Ramadan

The priority of the fifth month of Ramadan is to read more of the Qur’an, because the holy month of Ramadhan is the month in which the holy book of the Qur’an was revealed, so it is very appropriate if in this holy month we are highly encouraged to read it more. God said

The month of Ramadan is in which the Qur’an was revealed as a guidance for people and the guidance and the Criterion are clear.

That is, “(The specified few days are) the month of Ramadhan, the month in which the Qur’an was revealed (the beginning) as guidance for mankind and the explanations regarding that guidance and the difference (between right and wrong).” (QS. Al-Baqarah [2]: 185)

In addition, the Prophet Muhammad SAW regularly recites and recites the Qur’an to the Angel Gabriel during the holy month of Ramadan. In a hadith narrated by Ibnu Abbas it is mentioned;

It means: “From Ibnu Abbas said, “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was the most
The gentleness of the Prophet especially during the month of Ramadan is a lesson for us all.
Muhammad was very gentle in every action, especially in the month of Ramadan when the angel Gabriel Ass met him, and it was Gabriel who came to him every night in the month of Ramadan, where Gabriel taught him the Qur’an. Truly the Messenger of God is the gentlest person than the blowing wind.” (HR.
Bukhari)

From the hadith above, a Ulama named Sheikh Ibnu Rajab in the book Bughyah al-Insan fi Wadza’llif Ramadhan, page 42 explains that reading the Qur’an more during the month of Ramadan is a sunnah as well as studying the Al-Qur’an in the month of Ramadan. collectively. namely by depositing the reading of the Qur’an to people who know it more by heart.

There are many narrations that explain how the Prophet’s companions increased their reading of the Qur’an, among them the Qatadah Sabbath, he always recited the Qur’an every three days during the month of Ramadan, even if it had entered the last ten days of the month of Ramadan, he would recite the Qur’an on every night.

Fourth, Perform I’tikaf in the Mosque

Mention the Priority Practices in the Holy Month of Ramadan

I’tikaf is silence in the mosque with the intention of worship. I’tikaf is highly recommended by syara’ to be done in the month of Ramadhan. Especially in the last ten days of Ramadan.

Because Rasulullah SAW also always did i’tikaf on those days every year until he died. Then it was continued by his wives, as explained in the Muslim Sahih:

Meaning: From Aisyah RA, that the Prophet Muhammad SAW. I’tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan until he died, then his wives did it after the death of the Prophet. (HR. Muslim)

In the month of Ramadan, the Prophet SAW usually performs i’tikaf in the early hours of the day, that is after he prays the dawn prayer. Imam Nas
a’i explains:

It means; “From Aishah said, that if the Messenger of God wanted to perform I’tikaf, he prayed the dawn prayer first, then occupied the place that would be used for I’tikaf, then this was usually done on the last ten days of the month of Ramadan, then ordered to make a tent, then Hafsha ordered tents were made, and so was Zainab, when the Messenger of God saw the tents and said: the virtue you want, if you do not have time for i’tikaf in the month of Ramadhan, then i’tikaf on ten days in the month of Shawwal. (Hr. Al-Nasa’i)

Fifth, perform Umrah worship

Mention the Priority Practices in the Holy Month of Ramadan

It means: “From Ummi Ma’qil from the Prophet SAW who said: Umrah in the month of Ramadan has the same reward as Hajj. (Hr. Al-Tirmidhi).

From the above hadith it is clear that Umrah worship in the month of Ramadan is highly recommended, even though this practice requires a lot of money. So for those of us who can’t afford it at least we can also do other practices recommended by syara’ as explained above.

The most important thing is how in this blessed month we can fill it with good practices that have been taught by Rasulullah SAW to us, and also by staying away from things that can pollute the quality of our fasting, such as lying, gossiping, riya, and others, so that we can really get benefits and blessings from the virtues of this Holy month of Ramadan.

The final word

The month of Ramadan is a month full of mercy, full of forgiveness and full of rewards. As a devout Muslim community, we should not waste this special guest who comes once a year.
