The Sims 4 is a social simulation game, which came out in 2014. Developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts, the game is just as successful as previous titles. The Sims 4 is the sequel and is the fourth major title in the series after The Sims 3.

Gamers have been playing The Sims series games to live their best lives possible. Players can build their dream house, and earn money to purchase the required things for their homes. To make things even better, there are cheats available for the game.

For players who aren’t big fans of grinding in any game, The Sims 4 lets you skip and unlock any required objects using cheats. Cheats and Mods have been quite consistent with many games, as some of the games conceal the cheat system quite well. That’s not the case with The Sims 4, as it’s not that difficult to enable cheats and unlock objects.

The Sims 4 Cheats To Unlock All Objects

To bring up the cheat module, a combination of keys needs to be pressed simultaneously, which is different in each platform. Follow the guide below:

• PlayStation: R1 + R2 + L1 + L2
• Xbox: RB + RT + LB + LT
• PC: Ctrl+Shift+C
• Mac: Command+Shift+C

The key combinations bring up the console where the cheats can be typed directly to trigger different events in the game. These events will either grant you in-game cash, move objects, reveal hidden objects, and so on.

Before these cheats are triggered, however, the “cheats” must be enabled in the game. Once enabled, two types of items need to be unlocked – Object-based items and Building-based items.

Object-based items: “bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement” – This cheat will unlock the game’s object-based items and they will appear in your menu. You can quickly search the object-based items which will then appear. These will still need to be bought, however, and once you buy the required items, you can use them in any desired way.

Building-based items: “bb.showliveeditobjects” – This is the cheat to unlock building-based items. This cheat will help a whole lot no matter what you wish to build in the game. Some of the items that unlock with the code above include fences, benches, traffic signs, etc.

Hidden Objects: “bb.showhiddenobjects” – The Sims 4 has a bunch of additional elements that are initially hidden for all players. You will see these objects out in the open world like statues, plants, rocks, meals, and so on. Once the cheat is entered, you can access these elements by typing “debug” in the search box in build or buy mode. You may also type in the name of the specific object like “rocks” to access and purchase them.

bb.enablefreebuild – This cheat lets you build anywhere in the open world. This is useful in getting a house built anywhere in the open world.

modebb.moveobjects – It might not be enough to unlock building items if you cannot place them as per your desire when building your house. This cheat lets you put the unlocked and purchased items wherever you wish to.

These cheats can be enabled one by one since they will not interfere with each other. These commands are the same for all platforms the game is available on. Once you enable them, the rest of the game’s unlockables should be a walk in the park.

The Sims 4 – Other Useful Cheats

FreeRealEstate on – In all three platforms, players can also type in this cheat code on the cheat console to unlock all the houses for free in the game. The same cheat with “off” in the end will disable the cheat if players prefer to grind their way and make enough cash to purchase the house they wish.

household.autopay_bills – Just like in real life, Sims have to pay monthly bills and since it might get boring, you can use this cheat to turn bills off.

motherlode – Speaking of bills, Sims also need cash to purchase the unlocked items, pay bills, and so on. This cheat will instantly add 50,000 Simoleons (§) to the account. The other two cheats that add money instantly include “kaching” or “rosebud” which adds §1000 to the account. If all that’s not enough, you can use Money # to get the desired §(replace the # with the amount required).

sims.fill_all_commodities – Your Sim will have needs just like a human being and this might get strenuous to tend to. This cheat instantly fills all motive bars related to energy, fun, hunger, hygiene, and social interactions.

“modifyrelationship (First Sim first name and last name) (Second Sim first and last name) 100 LTR_Friendship_Main” – This cheat instantly improves the friendship status between any two sims by 100%. The friendship between the two Sims will remain that way until it gets reset by using the same cheat with a -100 in between.

“modifyrelationship (First Sim first name and last name) (Second Sim first and last name) 100 LTR_Romance_Main” – This serves the same purpose as the cheat above but this time it gets the two Sims into a romantic relationship. Can be reset by adding a minus before 100.

Cheats in The Sims 4 are made available in the game by Developers and will not result in players getting their accounts banned or suspended if the cheats are used. That being said, you will not be able to earn trophies once cheats are enabled, even if they’re disabled later on. The game’s objective is for players to live a stress-free life by designing the world around them the way they like.

The cheats are also irreversible which means the changes made using the cheats are permanent. As easy as things might get in the game by using cheats, it’s not a bad idea to spend some quality time without cheats first, and grind out to earn some money and unlock things the way the game intends to.
