Ramdoss, who was brought into the world in a family that spoke Tamil and settled in a small hamlet in Tamil Nadu called Villupuram, has had a lifelong interest in viewing movies.
During an interview, E. Ramdoss reflected on his youth and discussed how he became interested in writing as a result of his early experiences. While Ramdoss was still in school, he penned a love letter to the girl he had a crush on. However, the letter was discovered and confiscated by his headmaster.

Soon after Ramdoss’ letter was seen by his teacher, he was called and commended by his instructor for the lines he wrote in the love letter. He was also encouraged to pursue a career in screenwriting as a result of this interaction. While we were talking about the same topic, Ramdoss made the following statement:

• If you see a lady whereas finding out in school, you get a rush. That’s the way it got here to me. I wrote a letter and despatched it to the college. I don’t know if it goes to the headmaster.Shouldn’t I be the books you maintain near your chest?’ That e-book I wrote went to the headmaster. He known as me and praised me for the strains. After I shared this with my pals, they stated, ‘It’s good… you must attempt in cinema.”

During his time spent acquiring knowledge at the university, Ramdoss acquired an interest in screenwriting. Later, in 1979, he relocated to Mylapore, which is located in Chennai, with the intention of pursuing a career in the Tamil film industry.

After moving to Chennai, Ramdoss began his career as a screenwriter. The first film he contributed his screenplay to was Enakkaga Kaathiru (1981), a Tamil film starring Suman and Sumalatha.

Later, in the late 1990s, Ramdoss worked as a writer for a number of Tamil films, including Raja Muthirai (1995), Dhinamum Ennai Gavani (1997), Harikrishnans, and Anthahpuram, among others (1999).

In addition to that, Ramdoss’ primary interest was on directing motion pictures. In the beginning, he worked as an assistant director under Manivannan, who is now recognized as a prominent Tamil filmmaker. Aayiram Pookkal Malarattum (1986), Vaazhga Jananayagam (1996), and Suyamvaram are just a few of the critically acclaimed films that he has directed in the past (1999). Ramdoss discussed his acquisition of the opportunity to direct Tamil films and made the following statement about it in an interview:

• I didn’t ask Manivannan for a job. The towers don’t tilt however dubbing occurs. Manopala went to see him. I went too. I used to go and sit and provides corrections. Manivannan was taking a look at me like ‘Yarra… Ivan’. Manivannan allowed me as an individual who respects it as a result of I’m an informed particular person, Manobala stated, ‘It’s our concern’. That’s how I joined him.”

In the year 2004, Ramdoss started her career as an actress and model. In the Tamil film Vasool Raja MBBS, which was released in 2004, he had a supporting part as a ward kid. He worked on the production of this film. He has worked as an actor in a variety of Tamil films, including Boomerang (2018), Cuckoo (2014), Thappu Thanda (2017), and Goli Soda 2 (2018). (2019).

In a great number of Tamil films, Ramdoss has played the role of a law enforcement officer. In many of his Tamil films, including Yuddham Sei (2011), Kakki Sattai (2015), Visaranai (2016), Dharma Durai (2016), and Vikram Vedha (2017), he has played the role of a police officer.

• On 25 January 2023, Ramdoss handed away, on the age of 66, at a non-public hospital in Chennai, resulting from cardiac arrest. On Fb, Kalachelvan, his son, posted,
  

  My father, director, author, and actor E. Ramdoss died of a coronary heart assault. I remorse to tell you that his ultimate rites can be held at his residence on January 24, 2023, at 11 a.m.”
