In a statement, the executive of the council on Monday said that it had
rejected the appointment of Naja’atu Muhammad as the North-West
coordinator of the Police Service Commission (PSC) of the All
Progressives Congress (APC) after being shown the door out as a mole.

It said that there were documented incidents where Nija’atu spoke words
against Tinubu in the past few weeks.

It held that the impartiality of any person being appointed as an
election coordinator ought to be beyond suspicion and added that the
nation cannot and would not get that from Nija’atu based on her track
record.

The spokesman of the council further said that, “if Nija’atu has the
inclination to defend her position, the President can accede to the
request by the council and invite her to explain her role in the savage
assault on the presidential candidate of Tinubu at the campaign in
Borno State, where she is alleged to have been a prime force behind.”
