Alex Michael “Porky” Martinez at age 79 of Lake Havasu Metropolis, Arizona. passed absent on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022 in Sun City, Arizona, surrounded by his loved ones and pastor.
Alex was born to Alex and Helena Martinez on Aug. 19, 1943 and was lifted by his mom and stepfather Louis Lucero, all who proceeded Alex’s demise.
Upon graduating from Flagstaff High School, Alex attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Though attending school, Alex worked for A.J. Bayless Grocery Stores. Alex then moved to Phoenix in which he worked for Safeway, performing his way into management. Whilst functioning for Safeway, in 1974, his occupation took him to Kingman in which he managed the two Safeway shops, later shifting to Lake Havasu Metropolis in 1985. Soon after 24 decades of service, Alex left Safeway and started a new vocation with Mission Linen Industries for yet another 20 a long time, in which he retired.
Alex was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church and was a earlier church council member. He served on the assets board, Cursillo Ministry, Mens Fellowship and as a Stephen Minister. He cherished reading through and finding out his Bible. Alex loved pencil sketching and wooden carving. He loved paying time with his grandchildren.
Alex celebrated his 50th wedding ceremony anniversary with his spouse Sharon Martinez of Lake Havasu Town this previous May with many of their small children and grandchildren and a pal, with a surprise bash at Shugrue’s.
Alex is proceeded in demise by his beloved daughter, Lisa Michaelle. Survivors contain his wife, Sharon Martinez, Lake Havasu Town sons, Kevin (Christy) Martinez, Shock Arizona, Michael (Stacie) Martinez, Hiawatha, Kansas, daughters Deborah (Monthly bill) South, Dixon, California and Sandee (Bruce), and 50 %-sisters Sandy Lopez, San Dimas, California, Debbie Martinez, Los Angles, California, Linda Contreras, and stepmother, Alice Martinez, both equally from San Francisco, California. Alex was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren from his surviving children.
A Celebration of Lifestyle will be held Jan. 14, 2023, at 10: 30 a.m. at Mount Olive Lutheran Church found at 2170 Havasupai Blvd, Lake Havasu Town, Arizona with interment to comply with at Mount Olive Columbarium Back garden, situated on website. A luncheon will be served subsequent the provider in the Espresso Café.
In lieu of bouquets, donations can be provided to The Cursillo, Prayer Shawl Ministries or the Developing Discover at Mountain Olive Lutheran Church.
